Josephine Bacon passed away on November 26, 2017 surrounded by her extended family.

Josephine (Jo) Bacon was born on January 3, 1930 in the small town of Michelle, now known as Sparwood BC. Her family moved to England when she was three, they lived in Tyldesley throughout the war until Jo turned 17 and moved back to Canada.

She met Wilf Bacon in Vancouver BC and they were married in 1949. In 1968 they decided to move north to Smithers BC to start a new life with their 3 boys.

Jo was involved in Remembrance Day Celebrations, volunteering at Salvation Army, the Sea Cadets, and cooking at Camp Halifax. Jo was known as MRS. B to all the cadets, young and old.

She is survived by her three sons Ron (Beth), Neale (Bev) David, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years Wilf Bacon.

There will be a celebration of life held on June 30 in Smithers, time and place will be announced in June.
