Joseph Bryck

November 3, 2006

BRYCK, Joseph - Joe passed away suddenly on November 3, 2006. Joe was a devoted and loving husband, father and brother who will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives he touched.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Elvira, his son Joseph Michael (Jennifer), daughter Lori (Teemu), daughter Jennette (Steve), last surviving brother Bill, and countless nieces and nephews.

Joe was born January 9, 1935 in Whitemouth, Manitoba. He lived and worked in different parts of the country until he came to BC in August 1954. He worked for the CPR as a telgraph operator in Revelstoke, Nelson, Field and Coquitlam, changing careers in 1964. Joe spent a number of years on Hydro Line Construction jobs before taking a permanent job as a lineman in 1972 in Hazelton.

However, Joe had first come to Hazelton in 1966 when he fell in love with “God’s Country”. Here he resided and retired from his secular career. In September 1994 he took up a new career as a full-time minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He has remained a constant in the community.

Joe will be remembered for his kindess, generosity and love for people, and for zealously sharing his faith with others.
