Jerry John Dohler passed away May 26, 2024, at the age of 77 in the Bulkley Lodge. Jerry was born in Smithers on January 14, 1947, to Claude and Emma Dohler. He lived his entire life in the Bulkley Valley. He worked in logging, trucking, and a tire store. He is survived by his wife Kathy, sister, Shirley, brother Leonard (Coranne) and children Tammera (Robert) and Darin (Sue). The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Bulkley Lodge nurses and staff for their exceptional kindness and care that made Jerry's days brighter. We would also like to thank everyone associated with the Palliative Program, along with Dr. Blackstock and Dr. Haskins. To those who took time to visit and make his days more pleasant, thank you. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Parkinson Society of Canada, or the charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge, in Smithers, on Friday, June 7th between 2:00 and 5:00 pm.
