Jerome Steven Zank

Jerome Steven Zank (Jerry) passed away peacefully at the Bulkley Lodge on May 15, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Jerry was born on August 12, 1926 in Hungary. His family immigrated to Canada when he was less than one year of age. The family lived for a short while in Saskatchewan and then settled in Ontario, where he grew up. Jerry moved back to Saskatchewan in his early twenties.

He met Gwen Horn and they married in 1949 and went on to raise four children. They later moved to B.C. and lived in the Hazeltons for many years. In 1995 they moved to Terrace until nine months ago when they moved to Smithers to be closer to family.

Jerry will be sadly missed by his children: Donna (Jake) Martens, Bob Czank, Darcy (Carl) Degerness and Rick Zank; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. Jerry was pre-deceased by his wife of almost 66 years, Gwen, in February of this year; and by two sisters.
