Janna van der Meulen
July 4, 1920 – July 7, 2009
Janna was born in St. Johannesga, Friesland in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1955 with her family. She was a strong and determined woman who overcame many roadblocks. Her diminishing eyesight did not prevent her from enjoying life and she was thankful to God for her family and friends who were always willing to lend a helping hand. For 65 years she was married to Piet van der Meulen who died in 2004. Janna was a long time resident of Round Lake where she and Piet and her “boys” established a dairy farm. Janna died at home with family at her bedside. She is survived by:

A service honoring the life of Janna van der Meulen will be held at Mountain View Assembly on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Murray Wittke officiating.
