Hetherington, Janet Virginia (nee Bourgon), passed away on March 13, 2020, in Victoria, B.C., at the age of 94. She was predeceased by Gordon, her husband of 70 years, and daughter, Teresa Jean Friesen. Janet is survived by her children, Jane Hetherington (Bill), Kaye Wong (Phil) and Tona Hetherington (Richard); grandchildren Dan Blue (Diane), Cary Blue (Brenda), Janet Wong (Ben), Murray Wong (Karrie), Megan Wong, Thomas Grieve and Paul Grieve; and three great grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa and Lauren Blue.
Janet was born in Telkwa and remained happily in the Bulkley Valley until 2015. Janet's remains will be interred at the Smithers Cemetery beside her husband Gordon.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her family. A funeral in Smithers will be planned and announced following the resolution of the current health crisis.
