James Luke Danny McCREERY

James Luke Danny McCreery, born December 7, 1949, passed to his rest October 12, 2016, in Langley B.C., at the age of 66 years. Danny was the fourth child born to Alexander and Alma McCreery. He is survived by his mother, Alma Reimche, siblings Carroll, Ike, Marty, David, Loma, step-siblings Roger, Wayne, and Linda. Danny is predeceased by his father Alexander, his brother Benny Ray, nephew Mark, and niece Tanya. Surviving Danny are his wife Linda and stepson Bill and wife Ashley. His children from his first marriage to Bonnie are Melissa, her husband Tom and children Enan and Willa, Cynthia and son Devin, Teddy, his partner Kate and children Hayden and Sadie, Gayle, Joe, his wife Caoimhe and children Lua and Rónán, and Danny, Jr. Danny was a logger for most of his life. He drove truck, loaded logs, felled trees, skidded and bucked. He owned a saw mill in Two- Mile for a few years. Danny was known for playing the hand-saw with a violin bow, a lost art that produces an eerie and unforgettable sound.

A memorial service will be held at the Hazelton S.D.A. church, October 29th, at 2:00 p.m.; interment at Two-Mile Cemetery. There will be a tea in the church basement. All are welcome.
