TOWNSEND — Irene (nee St.
Germain) Cherished by family
and friends. Irene passed away
quietly on September 18, 2004.
Born in Riviere-Qui-Barre, Alberta
in November of 1933, she was
predeceased by her husband
William in 1976 and in more recent
years her sisters Mary, Clara,
Adeline and Evelyn. Survived by
children Jeanette, Jo-Ann, Michael,
Brenda, Nadine, Stephen; brothers
Michael, George, Raymond,
Rupert, Alan, Stanley; sisters Rose,
Lynda; 11 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren. She will also
be greatly missed by all of her
special sons-in-law and daughtersin-
law as well as her many, many
loving nieces and nephews. She
was loved by all who met her and
her gentle loving soul will remain
with us forever. Special gratitude
is extended to her physician of
many years, Dr. Melvin Bruchet,
her home care nurse, Jacquie and
the nurses, staff and volunteers
of Lions Gate Hospital Palliative
Care Ward for making “Mom”
comfortable as she neared release
from pain. Funeral services were
held Thursday, September 23,
2004. In lieu of •owers, donations
may be made to the Cancer Clinic
at Lions Gate Hospital.
