April 24, 1924 - November 3, 2021
Irene passed away on November 3, 2021 at Ridge Meadows hospital. She was born April 24, 1924 to Thomas and Mary (Wells) George.
Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Cook in 2015, first husband William George Moore in 1952, and son Keith William Moore in 2017.
Survived by her sons Victor and Bill Jr, her daughter Jackie and her sister Gloria. Grandchildren Brent, Eddie, Dolly, Carmen and Jared, and great-grandchildren Jaden, Liam and Wyatt.
Jack and Irene lived in the Bulkley Valley in the 1970s and were the original owners of Kiniknik Trailer Park (now Telkwa Trailer park). Jack coached the Smithers Nats, Houston Luckies and Moricetown Canyon Bears. Irene was involved with the first " Board of directors " of the Smithers Friendship Center.
Although she swore once she left home she would never make another pair of moccasins, she continued to for most of her 97 years. Her challenging life made her strong, she had many adventures and she lived and loved well.
Irene was loved and respected by her children and grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews. She is already greatly missed.
"God bless...over and out!" ~ Irene Cook
