It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ingrid Palmer (Peterson).
She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Vern Palmer, her five children: Cheryl, Sandra (Lionel), Bonny, Vernon (Danalee), Carlyn (Darcy), her nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, eight siblings and a son in law.
Born in the Bulkley Valley, Ingrid spent her entire life here. She considered the valley to be the best place on earth. She enjoyed her summers golfing and flower gardening, and her winters bowling, crocheting and playing cards at the Legion.
Ingrid was smart and feisty, a lover of books and scrabble. She was the heart of the family. Her life revolved around her love of family. She cherished all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family felt her love every day and she was always there, giving only her best.
"Mom you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you're always at our side"
Respecting her wishes, no formal service will be held. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation BC or the Thyroid Foundation of Canada.
