In Loving Memory of
Helen Harris
Mar. 21, 1916 – Mar. 23, 2007
Helen passed away quietly in her home in Smithers of natural causes. She was born in Plum Coulee, Manitoba. Helen came from a family of 13 (mostly boys). She settled in Smithers in 1953 with her husband, Ted (who died in 1974).
Helen is survived by her sister Kay in Winnipeg, her four children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Helen found fulfillment in her grandchildren, gardening, crocheting, recycling and her faith. Helen was a very giving, thoughtful person; always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Thank you to everyone for your kindness and concern. A special thanks to Blake (Helen’s grandson), for his help on Gramma’s cake. The family would like to especially thank the special Home Support Workers, who helped make it possible for mom to spend her last years in her own home.
A celebration of Helen’s life was held at the Telkwa Seniors Hall with the Salvation Army officiating, because they held a special place in her heart. She will be greatly missed.
