It is with intense sadness that the family of Heather Anne Couturier (nee McGowan) announce her passing on May 11, 2016, in the Clearwater Hospital with her family by her side.
Heather was born January 14 1956, in the Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton, to parents Bill and Barbara McGowan. Heather is survived by her partner Jack Vogels, her children; Alison Evans (Sean), Aaron Hunt (Judith), Mary Ford (Grant), and Jessica Couturier, and eight grandchildren with one more on the way. Heather is also survived by her mother Barbara McGowan, and her siblings; Bill McGowan (Loree), Catherine McGowan, and Margaret Olmstead (Dan), and cousins Sandra Frenzel (Gert), Bill Craig (Lori), Dougal Craig, Bill Johnston, Don Johnston, Gary Johnston and Dave Johnston.
Heather was predeceased by her father Bill McGowan, her brother Michael McGowan, and her husband Felix Couturier.
Heather’s Celebration of Life was held at the Wells Gray Inn in Clearwater on May 14th, with her many friends and family there to remember a beautiful woman who rose above the obstacles that life put before her.
