Harvey Marvin Isom Burns, born April 8, 1943 in Green Court, Alberta., passed away at the age of 75, August 12, 2018 in Prince George, BC.

Predeceased by his mother Jean Schwerdt (Knapp), father Marvin Burns, stepfather Victor Schwerdt and sister Ann Finch.

Survived by his wife Margaret Burns (Lewis), daughter Teresa Bradley (Jody), son Greg Burns (Robin), grandchildren, Katlyn, Liam, Elyse, Garrett, Pyper, Carmen and Mickelle, great grandchildren Forrest and Luxanne, sister Audrey Connery and family, as well as extended family, Sonia, Ben, Cliff and Samy Gafsi.

Harvey married Margaret Lewis in 1963 in Celista BC, (north shore of Shuswap lake).

In 1968 Harvey and Margaret left the Shuswap to follow his mom and stepfather Vic Schwerdt north to Smithers where Harvey and Vic started Telkwa River Logging. In the 1970's (Vi)c and (Har)vey formed Vihar Construction Ltd. In the late 1980's Vihar Construction evolved into a father son partnership with Greg, it was a partnership he was very proud of.

Harvey always said that the Bulkley Valley "has been very good to us". Family and friends were very important to him.

A celebration of Harvey's life will be held Saturday September 15th at 2508 Tatlow Road at 3:00 pm. Follow the signs down to the river behind Vihar's shop. Everyone welcome

For Harvey I know that life's most pleasing moments are caught in a flicker of time. If I could look back and stop the clock I'm sure that the world would be mine as the seasons change the spirit grows that gives wisdom, strength and truth. Some days bring forth these lasting moments.

That take us back to our youth.
