Guy passed away on January 9th in Salmon Arm after a valiant and brave fight against colon and liver cancers. Guy is survived by his wife Eve, daughter Michelle, son Jason, granddaughter Summer (Daniel) and great grandchildren Hudson, Coast and Portland and his siblings Francine, Roger, Pauline, Suzanne, Lionel, Rachel and Nicole.
Guy worked for CN rail for 32 years, spending the majority of his career living and working in Smithers where he married and started his family before relocating to Kamloops in 1991. In 2000 Guy and Eve moved to Tappen, BC.
Guy loved spending time with his family camping and fishing in the lakes in the Smithers area. After moving to Kamloops Guy and Eve purchased a 5th wheel set up at Sunny Shore Resort on White Lake where they were able to fish. They made many good friends at White Lake, enjoying many campfires and celebrations. Guy will be incredibly missed by a wide array of close friends and family.
The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Shuswap Lake Hospital's Oncology unit where Guy received incredible care and support during his treatment. The family cannot thank the nurses and care aid workers at Bastion Place Hospice enough for their extremely compassionate, empathetic and loving care, not only of Guy while he was there but also of the family during that time.
A Celebration of Life was held in Salmon Arm on January 25th, 2025.
