In Loving Memory ~
On May 17, Gordon Stenset passed away at the age of 85. He was surrounded by family and friends who loved and cared for him. He will be remembered by his wife Justine Pierce of 65 years, his children Terry and Lonny Leason (Kevin) and Lyle, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Norman.
Gordon worked in the Pulp mill then fishing and construction in Prince Rupert. Then he moved to Seymour Lake in 1986. Gordon was an avid hunter and trapper, taxidermist and wine maker. Gordon loved life with lots of family and friends visiting at the lake.
Gordon and Justine received news a few years ago that Gordon had dementia and cancer. He deteriorated over the last 5 years with his wife taking care of his every need.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Bulkley Valley Hospital, the wonderful nurses who cared for him and to Dr. Morkel for the great care and compassion through the difficult time.
