Elizabeth Henderson

Elizabeth (Betty) Henderson, a longtime resident of Kispiox Valley and Telkwa, B.C., died peacefully after a short, two-month decline in health. Betty was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Samuel and Kate Salter, immigrants from England and Scotland. After moving to British Columbia and working as a nurse at the Wrinch Memorial hospital, Betty met and married James (Buster) Henderson. They farmed up the Kispiox Valley for many years before moving near Tyhee Lake, Telkwa. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Buster, and daughter, Jo-Anne. She is survived by her twin brother (Bob Salter), two sons, Duncan (Connie) and Robert (Debbie) and four daughters Heather (Ben) Sikkes, Ileana (Mark) Robertson, Shelley (Norm) Schwartz, and Pam (Don) McClenagan and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Telkwa Reformed Church on June 3.
