In loving memory of

Doris Bridal (Messenger)

Born Jan. 7, 1927 at Kelvington, Saskatchewan and passed away March 9, 2010 at Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton, B.C. with family by her side. Survived by husband Robert (Bud), daughters Judi (Fred) Hass, Lorna (Shane) Fuller, Dorothy (Roger) La Marche, daughter-in-law Linda Bridal, sisters Alice Fedilak and Ida Chuback, also seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Jim and Edith Messenger, sons Douglas and Dennis, granddaughter Stephanie Maga.

Doris grew up on the family farm at Kelvington. She met Bud in 1944 and they were married Nov. 18, 1944. They moved to Kitimat, B.C. in 1957 and then to Terrace in 1961. In 1979, they moved to Wadena, Sask. until 1995 when they moved to New Hazelton, B.C. Doris enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting, puzzles and her poodle (Pixie). She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Wrinch Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Doris. We would also like to thank the Ladies Auxiliary for catering the memorial tea.

We never lose the ones we love,

For even though they’ve gone,

Within the hearts of those who care,

Their memory lingers on.
