DOREEN ELSIE WILSON
18 July 1935 - 13 January 2003
Doreen Wilson (nee Middleton) was born in Bruno, SK, on July 18, 1935. She moved with her family to Smithers, B.C., in 1937. Except for a short time working in Terrace after high school, she lived in Smithers for the rest of the life.
It is with considerable sorrow that we announce that Doreen passed away, with her family by her side, in St. Paul’s Hospital on January 13, 2003.
Mourning her loss are her husband Barry Wilson, her brother Ernest Middleton (Christina) of Kamloops, B.C., her daughter Janice Plumstead (Ken) of Smithers, her sons Tom Wilson (Kathy) of Kamloops, James Wilson (Wendy) of Smithers, Brian Wilson (Jeanne) of Heffley Creek, B.C., and Gerald Wilson (Joan) of Edmonton, AB, her grandchildren Robb (Lisa), Jennifer, Stephanie and Melissa and her great-granddaughter Amber. Doreen was predeceased by her parents Eva and George Middleton, her brothers Isaac and Daniel, and her sisters Caroline, Celestine and Genevieve.
A funeral service was held at St. Joseph’s Church on January 20, 2003. Doreen’s family thank the Ladies of the Royal Purple for participating in the service and providing the excellent luncheon after the funeral.
Doreen was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and friend. She will be forever missed by all those who loved her.
