Donald, born Feb 12, 1935 in Regina, Sask, devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, friend and brother, Don was all of these.
He passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital on Jan 10, 2018.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Fay, of 59 years, daughter, Glenda (Gary) Good of Creston, BC, son, Gerald (Kim) of South Surrey, BC.
Five grandchildren Laura (Dallas) Jordan, Carly Good, Brielle, Brogan & Aiden McDougall and one great grandson, Zane Jordan.
Don was a CNR railroad engineer for 34 years retiring in 1990.
Spending time with his family & friends was always a good day for Don.
Don's faith in God, integrity, honesty and kindness towards everyone was an example of a wonderful way to live one's life and his great sense of humour and ability to tell wonderful stories will be memorable.
The family wishes to thank the Doctors and nursing staff for their wonderful, attentive care and also for dear friends and family for their love and kind support during this difficult time.
His funeral will be held on January 19th, 2018 at 2 pm, at Valley View Funeral Home 14660 72 Avenue Surrey BC.
