We are sad to announce Deborah Joan Wilde (Mintz) of Oliver, BC passed away peacefully on October 26, 2021 after a long and hard fought battle with an undiagnosed illness.
Deborah was born on January 13, 1959 to parents John and Sylvia Mintz and was one of four children. Deborah was predeceased by her parents and sister Grace DeTremaudin and is survived by brother Dan Mintz (Donna), sister Ruth Mintz and niece Sarah Krebs (Theo) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Deborah worked as a Realtor in the Okanagan, finishing her career at the Royal LePage office in Penticton, BC. Deborah and her partner started Hidden Chapel Winery in Oliver, BC. This really was her dream and she loved meeting people and made many friends.
Deborah was a very independent and hard working individual, ready to greet everyone with a sincere smile and always happy to listen and chat.
Anyone who knew Deborah knew that she put 100% of her heart and soul into everything she did. Whether it was her pets, her jobs, her flowers and gardens, her friends or family nothing was held back. There was always room for a stray dog or cat and they were loved, each one as though they were the only fur baby.
Deborah had many very long time friends who will miss her dearly. Whether it was meeting for lunch, dinner, shows or travelling to warmer destinations she did her best to stay in touch. With a twinkle in her eyes and a smile on her face she was always excited to share a story or a laugh and could give as well as she could receive.
Above all her family came first. From looking after her mom and dad, sending wine to her siblings or being ready to help with any trials and tribulations, she was there and expected nothing in return.
In shock we say goodbye.
She will be missed. We love you Deborah!
