Christel passed away March 30, 2018 in Smithers, BC at the age of 90.
Christel is predeceased by her parents, husband David and her two sisters (Waltroudt and Ursula).
Christel is survived by her four children, Ingrid (Dave), Ed (Eva), Earl, Andrea (Norman), three grandchildren (Sabrina, Meghan, Simon) and her great grand daughter (Veronica).
Christel is also survived by her life long friends Ruth, Christine, Luise and Rosemarie.
Christel worked for many years as a dedicated nurse in Germany, Quebec and the Bulkley Valley District Hospital in Smithers, BC.
In keeping with Christel's wishes, there will be no services. Christel's cremains will be located beside her husband David in the Smithers Municipal cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Cancer Care Team, 3950 8th Ave, Smithers, BC VOJ 2NO or cheques (payable to the Community Cancer Care Team) can be dropped off at the Cancer Ward located on the 2nd floor of the Bulkley Valley District Hospital.
Peace and quiet at last.
