Moraes - “Charlie” Charles Clarence passed away on April 29, 2009 in the Smithers Hospital with family beside him at the age of 78 years. Born in Port Simpson to Charles and Minnie Moraes.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife Elennor, 2 brothers Robert and Donald, children Charlene (Dave), Charles Jr. (Charlotte), Rodney (Gloria), grandchildren, Natasha, Tamara, Cody, Collin, Dale, Shantelle and Brandon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Minnie Moraes, brother Jerry and sister Judy.
A funeral service for Charles Moraes was held on Monday May 4 at 2:00 pm in the Smithers Angilcan Church with Jim Davidson officiating, cremation followed the service. Memorium tributes to the B.C. Lung association were requested in lieu of flowers and can be made at P.O. Box 34009 STN D Vancouver B.C. V6J 9Z9.
