Chuck (Charles Edward) Morris passed away peacefully in Salmon Arm, BC after a long, happy and productive life...he was 94 years old.

"Home" for Chuck was always Smithers, BC where he was born August 14th, 1923 to Smithers Pioneers, Charlie and Helena Morris.

Chuck was the youngest son of 5 children...Bill, Buck, Mabel, Frances and Chuck. Chuck's parents settled in Smithers in 1912 before the railway came through.

Chuck married the love of his live, Ethel May Berg, in 1942...he said she was a "petite, shy, redhead." The first time he saw her he was too shy to walk over and talk to her...they were 16 years old. She passed away in 1999 after 56 years of marriage.

Chuck worked at a young age on his dads' farm's, in his dad's butcher shop until 1949 when Charlie died. Then Chuck went on to work for the Leach Brothers Shop Easy Store, for awhile he also worked for Archie Hicks at BV Wholesale. In 1957 Chuck started selling Burns Meat to grocery stores and restaurants all the way from Prince George, deep into the Lakes District through to Kitimat.

Chuck's life cannot be defined by his work. Chuck and Ethel enjoyed travelling with friends to Hawaii, Mexico and around BritishColumbia. Their cabin on Babine Lake was a source of pride and brought them much joy with all their very special friends & family.

Chuck & Ethel leave a wonderful legacy of family:
