July 20, 1991 - December 4, 2019
Catherine passed away peacefully in hospital surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter Ana-Lucia, mother Marsha Hunter, sister Lyla Hunter, brother-in-law Rodney Torrence, father Hank Inkster, brother Kale White, maternal grandfather James Hunter, paternal grandmother Mary Inkster, grandparent Ken Paulley, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew Hunter Torrence and many friends.
She is pre-deceased by her maternal grandmother Harriet Hunter (affectionately known as Gama), her paternal grandfather Raymond Inkster, uncle Bruce, aunt Catherine.
Catherine was born in Smithers, BC where she attended St. Joseph's elementary school. She loved the outdoors including hiking, camping and exploring the wilderness with family and friends. She moved to the lower mainland when she was 9 and a big part of her heart remained in the Bulkley Valley.
She was proud to consider herself a country girl. Catherine was an amazing singer and gymnast and used those skills in drama classes where she starred in productions like Footloose. She graduated from the Langley School of Fine Arts majoring in writing and with a passion for all arts and music. Catherine's nurturing, gentle essence was evident in her love of all animals especially her favorite pets Cody and Rosie. From the age of 14, she worked as a waitress and bartender where she thrived and enjoyed interacting with people.
Catherine was a bright spark of sunshine with a giving, generous spirit and pure heart. Her most magical gift to the world and her family was a beautiful baby girl who she loved with all her heart. Ana, at only 3, already shows many similarities to Catherine in looks, temperament and characteristics.
Catherine will remain in our hearts always and be deeply missed.
