April 19, 1954 - May 13, 2023
In loving memory ~
Carrol Peter Rosner was born April 19, 1954, in Nuremberg, Germany. He came to Canada before he was a year old and grew up in Kitimat. He was gifted with a formidable intelligence, and he loved to learn. He was talented beyond most in mechanics, carpentry, machinery, computers, and many other things. He learned to fly in 1974 and bought a float plane in 1975. That allowed him to combine his love of fishing, camping, hunting and just plain exploring. His love of learning also led him to travel extensively, learning about life in other places.
Carrol was an introvert, a very private person, and a very hard worker. He was happiest when he was working on something for the family.
Carrol's love for his family was never in doubt, nor was his drive to be better and to encourage and help those around him to be better and to grow as people. His soft-spoken confidence and strength in himself for who he was and what he stood for, was a powerful force for good. This attitude of "we got this, nothing to worry about!" was inspiration for many.
He is survived by his wife Linda; three sons Lester, Scott, and Dustin; grandchildren Joseph Klemmer, Haley Harper, Haden Harper and Drew Rosner; numerous nieces and nephews of the Blackburn clan; his brother Claus Rosner with his wife Lex, and their son Chai; and his sister Carin Rosner.
He will be greatly missed.
