Brad Christopher Hepburn

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brad Christopher Hepburn on Feb. 6, 2025.

Brad was born in Victoria, B.C. the 4th. Of 7 children. He lived there until his work with CN transferred him to Smithers in the 1980s and he moved there with his wife and kids. Brad enjoyed sports and many knew him from his involvement in dart and bowling leagues and on the golf course. He also was a big Vancouver Canucks fan and almost always had a Canucks baseball cap on his head. He also enjoyed his rock music and usually had it blasting everywhere he drove.

Brad moved to Terrace in 2009 with his fiancé, Diana. He enjoyed the warmer weather there and would brag when people complained about the snow in Smithers that there was no snow in Terrace and it was nice and green here. He liked living out in the countryside at Copperside Estates and spending time with his pets, Cricket and Mocha.

Brad enjoyed spending time with family and loved joking around with the grand kids and step grand kids. They always enjoyed his sense of humor and the time that he spent with them. He also loved to cook and took a cooking course at Northwest Community College later on in life and his family will miss his special dishes and how much he enjoyed making them for everyone.

Brad is survived by his wife of 18 years, Diana Bateson. He is predeceased by his daughter, Lindsay (1999) and his mom, Elanora (2024) and we like to think of the three of them as being reunited on the other side. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Jenny, grandkids, Nolan, Aidan and Vanessa Farrell and his son, Matt Hepburn. He will also be missed by several siblings, nieces and nephews, step children and step grandchildren and several other family members and friends. His presence and sense of humor at our family gatherings will always be missed. Until we meet again, rest in peace, Brad. A memorial service for Brad Hepburn will be held at the Smithers Legion at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
