A service of remembrance was held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Burns Lake United Church with Rev. Ray Fletcher officiating.
Bernd was born in Germany and is survived by his parents, Thomas and Line, brother Gunner and his family and sister Inga and her family. He also leaves to mourn good friends Mike and Marika Ramosch and their family and also many other friends.
Cremation was requested. His cremains were shipped to Germany for burial.
