In Remembrance ~
When I was young my grandma was the epitome of what a grandmother was supposed to be. She was garden soup, stories, card games, fruit loops cereal and homemade bread and cookies. To my child mind that was pretty much perfection. As a teenager I saw her free with her opinions, generous with stories and she was always that last wave....as we drove away every summer (standing with my grandfather). As an adult I saw her as wise to the world of politics and fairly open minded to the changes in our world, of which she saw many during her long life. She was hard working as a community member and as a volunteer. She was pretty much the Queen of the family. She was the person others went to for stories, history and information many had forgotten. Her values were strong, her faith genuine.
She was my grandma. How lucky I was to have her for 50 plus years.
Granddaughter, Lori (Mould) Wigmore
