Ada M. Barclay (nee Blaxland) was born December 10, 1930, in Duff, Saskatchewan.

She graduated from King George High in Vancouver in 1948. Married David August 30, 1951. We have lived in Prince Rupert, Kitimat, Smithers and Kamloops. Ada passed away at Ponderosa Lodge on April 7, 2007. Survived by husband David, sons; David (Sonia) and Bruce (Sharon) her five grandchildren; Melissa, Trevor, Robert, David and Kaitlin, sisters Merle and Ina. Over the past several years Ada has suffered from Cancer, Pick’s disease and its Terrible dementia. She was a resident of Ponderosa for a year. She has received wonderful treatment from so many doctors and care givers, it is not possible to single out or name all of them. The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the people at Interior Health, Home and Community Care, Residential Care and the wonderful staff of Ponderosa Lodge.

A Memorial Tea was held at Plura Hills United Church in Kamloops, B.C., on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 2:00 pm. No flowers by request.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Personal Alternative Funeral Services. 554-2324
