Stage one (1) water restrictions are in effect from April 15 to October 31.
If you are connected to the Town of Smithers water system, water restrictions are in place. Given the prolonged period of warm weather, there is a possibility of escalating to stage two (2) restrictions if dry conditions persist throughout the summer.
Stage 1 Restrictions (currently in effect)
- Lawn Watering is permitted for even numbered properties on even numbered calendar days, and odd numbered properties on odd numbered calendar days.
- Using a hose to water your lawn or garden is prohibited unless you have an automatic shut off device attached.
