Telkwa residents have spoken and the Village will not be allowed to borrow up to $1 million to renovate their new community hall.
At this election residents were asked: Are you in favour of the Village of Telkwa borrowing a sum not exceeding one million dollars to finance the purchase and renovation of the North West Premium Meat Co-op building and lands at 1415 Hankin Avenue and adjacent Lots 7,8,9 Block C.
The current unofficial tally has the No vote at 181 with those in favour at just 111.
