Smithers Curlers' missing booze found

The mystery of the missing bottles of booze has been solved.

After two break-ins at the Smithers Curling Club, one on Feb. 24 and another on Feb. 25, where several bottles of liquor were stolen, RCMP tracked down two males to a local hotel.

The pair, a 14-year-old and an 23-year-old were arrested without incident. A large quantity of alcohol was recovered and returned to the curling rink.

Further investigation netted the arrest of an 18-year-old. Charges of break and entering and possession of property obtained by crime are currently pending to all of the suspects.

It is suspected by the RCMP that the males may have also been responsible for the break-in to the curling rink on Feb. 16.
