Hudson Bay Mountain is improving access for novice skiers and boarders.

The resort has purchased a new carpet conveyor lift for the beginner area.

A release from the company said the addition of this lift to the upgraded existing area will effectively double their beginner area and provide more opportunities for all to learn to ski and snowboard plus easier access back to the lodge for guests who are new to the sport.

These past few seasons - especially last season - saw an increase in never-ever and beginner lessons.

The conversation of a carpet lift was brought back to the table and a decision was made to purchase one as soon as possible. It should be delivered in September and be installed and operational for the upcoming 2023/24 winter season.

The Little Rascal handle tow will remain in place for the time being and be utilized when accommodating larger groups.
