Houston School District 54 trustees are once again occupying top positions on the school board.

Jennifer Williams will once again be chair and Les Kearns will be the vice chair, trustees decided at a meeting Dec. 12. Each will serve one year.

This is the sixth term for Williams as chair and the sixth term for Kearns as vice chair.

Trustee Frank Farrell, one of three trustees representing the Smithers/Glentanna/Driftwood area, will repeat as the board’s provincial council representative.

Kearns was reappointed as the school district’s representative to the B.C. Public School Employers’ Association, the provincial body that negotiates wages and benefits contracts between public school districts and their employees.

Two other trustees represent the Smithers/Glentanna/Driftwood area — Jason Krauskopf and Floyd Krishan.

The other trustees on the board are Kristina Graham representing Telkwa and Priscilla Michell representing Lake Kathlyn/Evelyn/Witset.
