The Village of Hazelton have said that Billabong Road Maintenance has advised that all the side roads in the Hazelton, New Hazelton, Kispiox, Kitwanga and Suska side are being labelled as "treacherous" due to a heavy overnight rain that has caused extremely icy road conditions.
Billabong is asking that drivers avoid using all side roads at this time.
Efforts to make the roads safe again have been limited in success due to at times heavy rain.
