The man who went missing on the Bulkley River in Telkwa has been found, deceased, near Ebenezer Flats, RCMP reported Friday morning.
The man, 40, had gone missing in the Bulkley River after falling from his boat near Eddy Park in Telkwa.
RCMP said that on Thursday morning they assisted Search and Rescue after it was reported that a man had fallen from his pontoon into the river and disappeared from sight.
Authorities were notified at approximately 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Swiftwater Search and Rescue lead the search, said Kirsten Marshall with the Smithers RCMP.
The man's family has been notified and no name is being released by authorities.
"The boat flipped and the individual was observed in the water," said Marshall. "And they [witnesses] lost sight of him."
