Police, the B.C. Ambulance Service, and the Smithers Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident on May 4 at 11 a.m.

On arrival at the scene just in front of Napa Auto Parts and the Frontage road, RCMP found that a white Ford F350 that had been turning left onto the Frontage Road hit a blue Toyota Rav4 who was driving West on the Frontage Road.

There had been a vehicle obstructing the driver of the Ford's view, RCMP report.

The driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital with minor, non life-threatening injuries while the driver of the Ford was issued a violation ticket for failing to yield.
