Following the hottest year on record, MP Nathan Cullen said that it’s time for the country to pay attention to the climate change.

“It’s very tough on the places where we live because the effects of weather and climate shifting on our communities, on our environment, will be significant,” Cullen said.

The cabinet shuffle last week, where Peter Kent was named new environment minister resulted in the government’s reinforcing that, when it comes to the oil sands, it’s not them who need to be cleaned up, but their reputation. This notion is one that Cullen shot down, saying that it’s “ridiculous”.
