Enbridge heading to Houston for meeting

Enbridge will be holding a community event in Houston next Thursday.

Enbridge will be holding a community event in Houston next Thursday, Jan. 17.

As they move through the Joint Review Panel, Enbridge has decided to continue with meeting with communities in the Northwest, starting its tour with a forum held in Terrace on Feb. 1.

Moving east, they set up meetings to discuss the technical information contained within its submission to the JRP, who will be determining whether or not the proposed Northern Gateway Project meets with their specifications to move forward.

They’ll be providing residents an update on environmental management and local opportunity, Enbridge reports.

Available to the public will be multiple displays, as well as project representatives to engage in an “open and respectful question and answer period.”

The tour will be going through Kitimat, Burns Lake, Prince George, Fort St. James, and Houston, but not Smithers.

The Houston event takes place at the Houston Community Hall from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
