A fatal accident happened in Houston yesterday involving a motorcyclist and a pickup truck.

A fatal accident happened in Houston yesterday involving a motorcyclist and a pickup truck.

According to a press release, police said they received a report on Oct. 4 at 5:37 p.m. They say the truck was turning left onto Morice River Road from Highway 16 when it was struck by an approaching motorcycle.

Police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, but the occupants of the pickup was not injured.

Police closed Highway 16 for several hours to investigate.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and the BC Coroner Service has been notified. They say that speed might have been a factor.
