From Nov. 30 - Dec. 2, the Terrace Skating Club hosted this year’s Kal-How-Ya skating competition at the Terrace Sportsplex.
The team skated away with the highest medal count compared to the other northern clubs.
90 figure skaters from around the Northwest region competed this year.

The competition rotates to different locations annually, making it to Terrace only every seven years.
Altogether, 14 skaters from the Terrace Skating Club were awarded for their routines.
STAR 1-3 Events:
- Cassidy Melo — One gold ribbon
- Ethan Kietzman — One gold ribbon
STAR 4-10 Events:
- Maya Lecuyer — Two gold medals, two silver medals
- Brianne Monsen — Two gold medals, two silver medals
- Aaliyah Beeton — Two gold medals, one silver medal
- Teysean Henry — Two gold medals, one silver medal
- Makayla Forrest — Two gold medals, one silver medal
- Kayeanna Mackenzie — One gold medal, one silver medal, one bronze medal
- Halle Classen — One gold medal, one bronze medal
- Maia Guerreiro — One gold medal
- Kally Mackenzie — One gold medal
- Jacqueline Lenuik — One gold medal
- Camryn Monsen — One silver medal, one bronze medal
- Emma DeCario — One silver medal
The Terrace Skating Club will be holding their Christmas Concert at the Terrace Sportsplex main arena on Dec. 20 from 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Entry is by cash donation, proceeds will go towards the local food bank.
