You better watch out, you better not cry — you better not drink and drive.
On Dec. 10, RCMP stopped traffic at the intersection of Lazelle Ave. and Munroe St. to hand out candy canes and remind drivers to think about their ride home this holiday season.
“We’re here to remind them of the importance of safe and sober driving… that hopefully will prevent one person from making a choice that they’re not going to be able to take back,” says Cst. Crystal Evelyn.
Cst. Evelyn says that this is a time of the year with lots of Christmas parties taking place with alcohol and they want the public to know about the hard consequences of drinking and driving.
Plush teddy bears, donated by the Terrace Fire Department, were also given out to young passengers.
