The 2,100 passenger Carnival Miracle is the first ship to dock in Prince Rupert in 2024

Prince Rupert’s cruise season got underway with blue skies and sunshine as the Carnival Miracle docked at the Northland Cruise Terminal May 1.

The 2,100-passenger vessel was returning to California after visiting Alaska.

The port is expecting 51 visits from cruise ships in 2024, one more than 2023 when the city welcomed 81,000 passengers.

A second ship is scheduled to arrive at 7 a.m. on Friday when the Noordam from Holland America, also with a 2,100 passenger capacity visits.
