The Smithers Art Gallery has created a survey called Taking the Art Pulse Project.

The survey is aimed at gathering community input to help shape the gallery’s future programs and strategic direction.

The hope is to gather input from residents, artists, educators and people who just love art.

“The Smithers Art Gallery has always been a hub for artists and community to come together,” said gallery manager Nicole Chernish.

“Over the past number of years, we have worked hard to increase workshops for children, youth and adults of all ages and provide exhibitions that meet and expand people’s views on the visual arts.”

She added that as they move forward with securing a new workshop space and planning for their future, they want to ensure their programs and services reflect the evolving needs of the community.

People who complete this survey have a chance to win a $50 gallery gift card.

Surveys can be completed online or a paper form can be picked up in the gallery. May 9, 2025 is the closing date.
