Cody Merriman, who is from the Haida Nation was one of a group of dancers who performed as part of a welcome for Dakota First Nations author Dr. Waziyatawin, March 20 at the NWCC.

The title of the talk was: What Does Justice Look Like? Indigenous Struggles in the Era of Hyper-Exploitation and Climate Change.

Organizer Molly Wickham said she was inspired by the level in which participants engaged, even though the material was complex and, at times, hard to hear.
