Students from Smithers Secondary School dressed in pink and joined together to form a ‘Huge Heart’ to celebrate and bring awareness to Pink Shirt Day, a campaign against bullying.
Students also heard from a number of community leaders on how to help those being bullied, not only in school but online as well.
Cyber-bullying has become a growing problem as most students are constantly connected to their electronic devices.
Wearing pink represents students’ support to end bullying in their classrooms and in cyberspace.
