Virginia Dennis says she needs help after the recent death of her husband of nearly 50 years

Smithers woman needs community’s help

Virginia Dennis, who just lost her husband of 50 years, needs help getting water and heat back on.

Virginia Dennis is dealing with the heartbreak of losing her husband Elmer on Dec. 14, just a week before their Dec. 22 50th anniversary.

Now, she is trying to get the water and heat to work at her Smithers Princess Street home where she and Elmer lived since 1971.

Virginia has friends and family willing to help out, including doing the plumbing labour, but parts are needed.

A gofundme page has been made on her behalf by her sister at gofundme.com/virginia-dennis-plumbing-emergency.
