Refresh the Northwest Animal Shelter

The Northwest Animal Shelter is asking for your help them purchase and develop land for an animal shelter, and all it takes is the click of a mouse.

They’re one of the contestants for the Pepsi Refresh Project that, if they’re chosen as the winners, will award them $100,000 to go towards the project.

It is essential, NWAS secretary Tonya Gillard writes, that they construct a permanent animal shelter, not just for their rescue dogs but for their contractual obligation to the town as the new dog pound for roaming dogs found within town.

By registering your email and a password, you can vote up to 10 times per day, with one that could go to the NWAS. Comments on the work they’re doing can also be left. Other votes can be placed to projects in the other level categories: those vying for $5,000, $10,000, or $25,000.

“We are up against a lot of big city charities, so we really desperately need you to vote every day!” Gillard continues in her email to The Interior News.

Currently, they’re in 12th spot for the funds, and voting continues until June 30, with finalists being announced on July 1.
