Music lovers heading to the Della Herman Theatre on October 20 will be in for a treat, as Greek-Canadian guitar virtuoso Pavlo brings his Mediterranean Nights tour to Smithers.
Pavlo has sold over half a million albums of his lively instrumental music, including two gold albums. The Smithers stop will be part of the tour for his ninth album Six String Blvd, released this months. Along with nylon string guitar, the sounds of the Chinese ehru, the Portuguese guitarra, the Arabic flute, the Indian sitar and the Greek bouzouki can all be heard in his recordings.
Playing over 150 shows a year has built Pavlo into a captivating performer, and he has become famous for bringing every audience to their feet. An added bonus is the fact that he gives away his guitar to someone in the audience at every show.
Pavlo will play the Della Herman Theatre on Thursday, October 20, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and a 7:30 show time. Tickets are available at Mountain Eagle Books and Interior Stationery.
