New channels coming to Hazeltons

The Skeena T.V. Association wants to inform the public that they are still going ahead with the addition of three new digital channels.

The Skeena T.V. Association wants to inform the public that they are still going ahead with the addition of three new digital channels.

They are hoping to broadcast TSN, History Channel and a movie channel within the next few months but getting the rights to have the stations is quite a lengthy and in-depth process.

The Association is hoping to have all three up and running by Christmas but will most likely be testing the digital channels in the next month.

In order to receive the three new channels residents will need a television that has digital capabilities which most new models do have.

Any T.V. which is five years old or newer should be fine but in order to verify that check the set itself or contact the Association for help via e-mail.

The current six channels will not change and while major city centres with a population of 300,000 or more will no longer be using analog, all rural areas will continue to broadcast in their current mode.
